C6th Pedal Steel - Arrangement by David J. Stewart
The original song was performed in 1939 for the classic film, "The Wizard Of Oz." I recorded my own arrangement on YouTube (here's a different recording with a slightly better camera angle). Here's the song played by itself without any backing track. Below I tabbed out exactly what I played so you can learn the song. It's perfect for C6th pedal steel. Here's the same rhythm track that I used. The song is in the key of E. The song only requires pedals 5,6,7 and 8 with no knee levers. (All pedal chord changes are standard). There's a lot of other really great sounds that can be used in this song, so don't hesitate to get creative and try new things. My favorite version of this song is performed by Jimmy Day. Enjoy!
